NEXT LEVEL IN MARINE TECHNOLOGY
THE CHALLENGE
Hydrofoils supported by a single strut are the most efficient but also the most unstable type. Flight must be constrained in a narrow operating corridor. And, to make things more difficult, e-Foils have to face extensive disturbances caused by a non-rigid payload - that’s us, humans.
THE WAY IT WORKS
A LITTLE MORE DEPTH
Our Rudder acts both as a "direction" governer as well as the active control surface for roll balance corrections. This method allows Level Boards to use minimal actuation force while contributing to immediate response.
HIGH-END ELECTRONICS
Aero-Space grade sensors are uniquely integrated into the board's flight computer, sensing the slightest deviations from a leveled flight at over 400 Hz - much faster than a human ever could.
PROPRIETARY ALGORITHMS
The computer collects high-rate data measured by the sensors and conducts lightning-fast decisions based upon it. The output is then precisely transmitted to the underwater control surfaces and drivetrain, culminating in 100% balanced flight.
FULL CONTROL -
WITH THE PRESS OF A BUTTON
Level presents the most intuitive UI in aquatic watercraft - EVER!
Slide the take-off button with your hand or foot. We'll take care of the rest.
HANDS-FREE NAVIGATION
Use your body to tell your e-Foil the direction you want to go and how fast you want to get there. Level's flight computer constantly senses your intentions. Lean forward to accelerate or back if you want to slow down. Lean left/right to change direction.
VIRTUAL SAFETY LEASH
3 distinctly separate systems onboard constantly monitor the presence of the rider during flight. If any of these systems detect the rider has fallen, the board will immediately execute a controlled landing. This system was perfected for maximum safety and minimal false stops.
OUR UNIQUE ARCHITECTURE
Level is the world's first functional
SINGLE-STRUT, STABILIZED HYDROFOIL DESIGN.
With lower drag, reduced complexity, and unprecedented hull clearance- the possibilities are endless.
FULLY SUBMRGED
MULTI-STRUT
ARC DESIGN
'MUSTACHE' DESIGN
SURFACE PIERCING HYDROFOILS
In the early days of hydrofoils, the most popular type was Multi-Strut, Surface Piercing Architecture. It was largely adopted because the design had no control complexity to make it stable. But, this architecture had its drawbacks. It introduced mechanical complexity, added drag (due to ventilation), and low hull clearance for incoming waves.
FULLY SUBMERGED HYDROFOILS
Fully-Submerged Hydrofoils were developed next but they could not overcome all the initial problems. The Single Strut Architecture which became wildly popular within board sports - can!
With only one supporting strut to resist the water flow and only one connection point to the water-craft (board), the Single-Strut architecture is the way of the future.
